Upon arriving on Waiheke Island, you’ll be greeted by passionate tour guides who will take you to the award-winning EcoZip adventure. This unique experience offers giant ziplines over 200m long, allowing you to fly side-by-side with a friend above a vineyard and lush, ancient forest canopies, with breathtaking views of Auckland City and beyond.
Descending from the ziplines, you’ll explore the sun-dappled forest floor, home to various wildlife such as geckos, skinks, weta, eels, and glow-worms. The guides will share Maori myths and explain how EcoZip Adventures contributes to preserving and restoring the island’s environmental significance, including extensive wetland restoration projects.
After this exhilarating experience, you’ll be treated to another fantastic activity – lunch at The HEKE. Set amidst four acres of beautiful gardens, The ‘HEKE Kitchen is a relaxed restaurant where chefs prepare your food over glowing wood fires. The venue is also home to a craft distillery and brewery offering HEKE Beer from Waiheke Brewing Co. and award-winning Waiheke Whisky.

Itinerary
- 9.00am – Depart Auckland at Pier 2 Ferry Terminal with Fullers
- 9.40am – Pickup from Matiatia ferry terminal on Waiheke Island
- 10.00am – Arrive at Eco-Zip for a 2 hour experience ziplining and a 1.5 hour walk through the bush
- 12.15pm -Arrive at The HEKE for a whiskey and Beer tasting with lunch
- 2.15pm – Leave for Matiatia Ferry Terminal
- 3.00pm – Depart Waiheke Island back to Auckland downtown terminal
